SocialMama, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” or “us”) respects your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes: 

  • The types of information we may collect or that you may provide when you download, install, register with, access, or use our mobile application referred to as “Ema” (the “App”).

  • Our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

 

This policy applies only to information we collect in this App and in email, text, and other electronic communications sent through or in connection with this App, and any content, functionality, and services made available through the App (collectively, the “Services”). 

 

This policy DOES NOT apply to information that:

  • We collect offline or on any other Company apps or websites, including websites you may access through this App. 

  • You provide to or is collected by any third party. 

 

Our websites and apps, and these other third parties may have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before providing information on or through them.

Information We Collect

  1. Information You Give Us. When you download, register with, or use this App, you may provide information:

  • By which you may be personally identified, such as name, age, gender, phone number and email address or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline (“personal information”).

  • That is about you but individually does not identify you, such as your race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs. 

 

This information includes:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms in the App. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the App, using our Services, posting material and requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by us, and when you report a problem with the App.

  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses and phone numbers), if you contact us.

  • Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.

  • Details of transactions you carry out through the App and of the fulfillment of your orders. You may be required to provide financial information before placing an order through the App.

  • Your search queries on the App.

 

You may also provide information for publication or display (“Posted”) on public areas of the App (collectively, “User Contributions”). Your User Contributions are Posted and transmitted to others at your own risk. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of third parties with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. 

  1. Automatically Collected Information.  When you use our App and Services, we collect certain information automatically. Information collected this way includes:

  • Usage Information: We collect non-personal statistical information about how you use the App and Services, including information on: your location data; traffic data; how long you use the App; whether you have used the App before and on how many occasions; how frequently you use the App; and at which point you exit the App. 

  • Device Information:  When you use a mobile device like a tablet or phone to access our App and Services, we may access and collect information such as unique device identifier, IP address, information on your device, including the hardware and operating system, and information on the mobile network you use. 

  • Location Information: When you use the App and Services, we, directly and through our Services Providers (as defined below), collect location information from your mobile device. This may include information about the city and state in which your device is located based on its IP address, and also precise GPS location information. Prior to collecting any precise GPS location information and enabling tools such as push notifications, we will ask for your permission. You can always disable location services on your device. 

We may use may use a variety of technologies for this automatic data collection, which may include:

  • Cookies (or mobile cookies): A cookie is a small file placed on your mobile device. These technologies may provide us with information about devices and networks you utilize to access our App, and other information regarding your preferences and interactions with our App. It may be possible to refuse to accept mobile cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your device. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our App.

  • Pixel Tags / Web Beacons: Certain pages of our App and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email. We may also use these web beacons for other related App statistics (e.g., recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity).

  • Device Identifiers: Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures stored on or associated with your mobile device, which uniquely identify your mobile device. A device identifier may be data stored in connection with the device hardware, data stored in connection with the device’s operating system or other software, or data sent to the device by us.

When you use the App or its content, certain third parties may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you or your device. These third parties may include: 

  • Your mobile device manufacturer.

  • Your mobile service provider.

 

These third parties may use tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use this app. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites, apps, and other online services websites. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. 

We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

We may disclose deidentified information about our users without restriction. This information cannot be used to personally identify our users. We do not disclose your information that may personally identify you except in the circumstances described here:

  • Your Consent:  We may share or disclose your information, at your direction, in connection with your use of the App and to fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.  

  • Service Providers:  We may share your information with or disclose it to contractors orservice providers, we use to support our business, all of whom are bound by contractual obligations to keep information confidential and use it only for the legitimate business purposes for which we disclose it to them.   

  • Business Transfers:  In the event that the Company is involved in a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, your information held by us may be among the assets transferred.

  • Law and Harm:  Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Privacy Policy, we may disclose or share your information in order to comply with any court order, law, or legal proceeding, including to respond to any government or regulatory request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our users, or others. 

  • Enforcement: We may disclose your information in order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements.

  • Disclosed when Collected:  For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

 

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information 

 

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information: 

 

  • Tracking Technologies: You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that many parts of the App and Services may then be inaccessible or will not function properly.

 

  • Email Communications: If you do not wish to have your email address used by us to promote our own App, products, or third parties’ services and products, you may opt out of receiving these messages by following the “unsubscribe” link contained within the promotional messages.

 

  • Online Analytics and Tracking: We may use a web analytics service provided (such as Heap Analytics) on our App to collect and analyze Usage Information through cookies and similar tools; engage in auditing, research, or reporting; assist with fraud prevention; and provide certain feature to you. Accessing and Correcting Your Information

 

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the App and visiting your account profile page.

 

You may also send us an email at letsconnect@emaapp.co  to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

 

If you delete your User Contributions from the App, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other App users. Proper access and use of information provided on the App, including User Contributions, is governed by our terms of use.

 

Persons with Disabilities

The Company strives to ensure that every person has access to information related to our App including this Privacy Policy. Please contact us if you would like this Privacy Policy provided in an alternative format, and we will seek to meet your needs.

 

Data Security

 

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. 

 

The safety and security of your personal information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. We urge you to be careful about giving out sensitive information in public areas of the App. The information you share in public areas may be viewed by any user of the App.

 

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through our App. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.

 

Children Under Age 16

 

The App is not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under age 16 may provide any personal information on the App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on the Services. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
