How private is SocialMama?
Very private. SocialMama has created a private platform through the help of IT professionals who are the best in the privacy business. Sorry, not at this time. Based on the demand from our Mamas, the sensitivity of the SocialMama community,  the extensive focus groups, and research data we have gathered and reviewed… we are limiting SocialMama to Mamas.  Stay tuned, SocialPapas… something is in the works!

How does SocialMama match you to other users?
Our algorithm technology uses multiple dimensions to match users mainly focusing on unique needs, like-mindedness and other areas of compatibility.  Most fields that you fill out during the sign-in process are factored into the compatibility score that is used for matching.  Our matching algorithm will advance and change as more users join the app.

Do I need to respond to every profile question on SocialMama?
No, you only need to respond to those that you prefer to complete or are required fields.  However, the more you answer, the more accurate your matches will be.  Without the proper fields… we are unable to match you with fellow Mamas.

How do I ask SocialMama a question?

What if I can’t find any matches?
Since SocialMama is a new App,  we are still building our user base. As we increase the number of users, the more likely you’ll find a great match. One of the best ways to increase the likelihood of matches is to share SocialMama on your social media, local YMCA, local gym, coops, CSAs, preschools, anywhere you meet and socialize. To increase your “Around Me” mileage, simply pinch and zoom out on the screen. If you live in an area where user base is not yet high, hang on, we are growing by the minute.

How do I edit my profile?
There is an edit button on your profile page that will let you to edit your profile.

Does the Geo-location page give away my exact location?
No. We value and protect your privacy and commit to continue to do that. We will suggest up to a mile vicinity but we don’t want to disclose your exact location.  Your location is scrambled… so, a fellow Mama will think you are in the library (because of where you show on the map), when you really are a mile away in a coffee shop.  It will specify up to a mile but we never want people to know your specific location. If you would like a less specific location, please email us at letsconnect@socialmama.us, we love hearing your feedback.  Your security is our top priority.

Do I need to create a profile to use SocialMama?
